We are used to “the big picture” but if you look close enough, there is always something waiting to be discovered.

Viajado, in English, The Traveller, is a tribute to the journey made by Charles Darwin on HMS Beagle across the world. Arriving in the rich land of Chile, whose natural resources were crucial for the development of his theory of the evolution of species.

Avialae, “bird wings”, is a clade of flying dinosaurs containing the only living dinosaurs, the birds. The earliest known avialan fossils come from the Tiaojishan Formation of China, about 160 million years ago.

In 1831, Charles Darwin departed from Plymouth Sound, England, aboard the HMS Beagle for a five-year expedition. The ship's route along the Southern Coast of what is today Argentina and Chile, allowed Darwin to make many of his most important discoveries which had a lasting influence on his work and evolutionary theory.

Inspired by the legend of Trentren Vilu and Caicai Vilu this label was born. It tells the story of the fierce battle between these two mythical snakes and how the south of Chile came to have its accidented geography.

Vineyards

Darwin Vineyards is based in Curicó and it was founded by Miguel Breda, a successful business executive and entrepreneur whose interest in wine led him to establish vineyards in Chile.

Over the next years, Darwin would grow exponentially in the exporting wine business, building name for unwavering commitment to quality. What started as an intercontinental business brewed into a multinational family now celebrating a melting pot of cultures by fusing forces and going global as one.

Our Cause

We hate waste. Our waste is all sorted to recycle as most of it as possible. Our bottles make the most of this, as over 70% of them are made of recycled glass.

And by using optimized irrigation systems which are powered by solar energy, we don’t waste water or energy. Water in our cooling systems is not wasted either, it is reused.
